SELLER TERMS & CONDITIONS
Scope of Services:
Chrono Paradise, operating as a shipper’s agent under the name of CME International LLC, Inc., facilitates transportation arrangements and offers ancillary services such as U.S. export filing (if applicable) and billing solutions. Upon customer request, Chrono Paradise may also arrange for insurance coverage for the goods being handled, underwritten by an authorized insurance company and produced by its insurance broker. It’s important to note that Chrono Paradise is not an insurance company, customs broker, or air carrier. Utilization of Chrono Paradise’s services implies acceptance of the Seller Terms and Conditions.
Adherence to these Seller Terms and Conditions is essential for the inclusion and protection of customers’ goods under the insurance policy.
Relationship between Seller Terms and Conditions and Chrono Paradise’s General Terms and Conditions:
These Seller Terms and Conditions should be read alongside Chrono Paradise’s General Terms and Conditions available at the website. In case of any conflict between the two, the Seller Terms and Conditions prevail for sellers. For non-seller customers, the General Terms and Conditions take precedence.
Authorization to Sell:
Sellers warrant that they are the rightful owners of the watches being sold to Chrono Paradise, with legal title and the right to transfer ownership. They also affirm that the watches are authentic. If any of these representations are found to be inaccurate, sellers agree to return all funds received from Chrono Paradise and accept the return of the watch.
Engaged Transportation Carriers:
As a customer, you authorize Chrono Paradise to select and engage transportation carriers and vendors on your behalf. These carriers and vendors have limited liability, which may be increased by declaring a value and paying an additional charge, subject to their contractual terms. Chrono Paradise can request excess liability on your behalf, but carriers may refuse declared value for liability. If you do not provide written instructions to declare value or if carriers refuse declared value, the goods may be tendered subject to their liability limitations. Chrono Paradise provides insurance coverage for your goods under its Insurance Policy instead of relying solely on carrier liability terms.
Coverage Details:
Although customers’ goods may be covered under the Insurance Policy, only Chrono Paradise is named as the insured party. The Insurance Policy covers shipments for physical loss and/or damage during transit, subject to certain conditions, limitations, and exclusions. Chrono Paradise reserves the right to decline coverage for certain shipments. Confirmation of insurance eligibility and inclusion under the Insurance Policy is provided to customers upon receipt of a confirmation number issued by Chrono Paradise for each shipment.
Summary of Insurance Policy Terms:
- Covered Commodities: The Insurance Policy exclusively covers items such as jewelry, timepieces, precious metals, gemstones, or other lawful goods approved in writing before shipment.
- Valuation: Goods should be insured for their selling price if sold before shipment or for actual cash value/replacement value. Understating value will result in bearing the deficit in case of partial loss, while overstating value limits coverage to the actual value.
- Limit of Liability: The applicable coverage limit, as stated in the Certificate of Insurance, determines the maximum coverage. A country-specific sublimit may also apply, with coverage limited to the insured value.
- Signature Requirement: Coverage is applicable only to shipments requiring an adult signature upon delivery. Shipments released without a signature will void coverage, except under certain circumstances.
- Duration: Coverage begins when goods are retrieved by or tendered to Chrono Paradise or the designated carrier and continues until delivery or the expiry of fourteen (14) days, whichever occurs first.
- Refused Shipments Returned: Coverage extends until redelivery to the shipper or thirty (30) days from retrieval/tendering of goods, whichever occurs first.
- Exclusions: Exclusions include seizure of goods, war risks for domestic U.S. shipments, radioactive contamination, delay, fraud, cyber attacks, and more. Additionally, there is no coverage for C.O.D. payments or consequential damages.
- Limited Fraud Coverage: Limited coverage is provided for fraud resulting in delivery to an address other than the consigned address or release to someone other than the consignee, subject to specific conditions.
- Inspection Requirement: The consignee must inspect the shipment at the time of delivery and make written exceptions for any damage or loss to qualify for coverage.
- Claim Reporting Limitation: Claims must be reported to Chrono Paradise within thirty (30) days of coverage commencement, with exceptions for refused shipments returned.
- Claim Process: The Insurance Underwriter has exclusive authority over claims settlement. Cooperation from the shipper and consignee, including documentation provision, is essential for claim processing.
- Effect of Claim Payment: Claim payment does not prejudice future claims and subrogates the Insurance Underwriter to rights of recovery against third parties.
- Notice of Full and Additional Terms: The Seller Terms and Conditions outlined in the Insurance Policy control insurance coverage. Changes to coverage terms may occur at Chrono Paradise’s discretion.
Shipping Rules & Restrictions:
To qualify for coverage under the Insurance Policy, approved customers must adhere to specific shipping rules and restrictions:
- Notify the Consignee: Consignees must be informed of the shipment and its contents prior to delivery.
- Double Box: Packages must be double boxed in new packaging unless otherwise authorized.
- Select a Billing Option: Customers may use the carrier account number provided by Chrono Paradise or their independent account number with an approved carrier.
- Package and Tender to Carrier: Proper packing and sealing of packages are required. Receipts must be obtained for packages dropped off at authorized retail locations.
- Report Shipments to Chrono Paradise: Shipments must be reported to Chrono Paradise on the same day of shipping to receive coverage.
- Declare a Value for Insurance: Packages reported without a declared value will be uninsured, with liability limited to US$100 or less.
- Do not Reveal Package Content: Indications of high-value content should not appear on the package exterior.
- Do not Declare a Value with the Carrier: Customers must not declare a value with the carrier unless instructed otherwise by Chrono Paradise.
- Furnish Accurate and Complete Information: Customers must provide accurate and comprehensive information and documentation for Chrono Paradise’s services.
- Maintain Packaging: Claims for loss or damage are only valid if packaging and contents are preserved until inspection.
CME’s Liability:
As a shipper’s agent facilitating transportation and ancillary services, including insurance coverage, CME assumes no carriage liability. Its liability is limited to $50 per shipment for negligence, errors, and omissions, unless a higher value is declared in writing. Disputes will be resolved through arbitration in Los Angeles, California, under California and U.S. law, waiving the right to a jury trial. Arbitration will be on an individual basis, and claims must be made within 30 days of the ship date.
Entire Agreement; Customer Warranty; Changes to Seller Terms:
No oral modifications are allowed to these Seller Terms. They, along with the General Terms and Conditions and the rate sheet, constitute the entire agreement between you and Chrono Paradise. You warrant that all goods shipped comply with legal requirements and have the authority to bind your company, shipper, consignee, and any other interested parties to these terms. Chrono Paradise relies on the accuracy of information provided for its services and reserves the right to modify these terms without notice.

Kindly note the following:
Customers acknowledge and understand that the initial purchase offer estimate from Chrono Paradise is a preliminary estimate only, based on similar watches bought and sold in the recent past. These market prices are subject to change without notice, and Chrono Paradise reserves the right to make changes to reflect market conditions. This offer estimate represents the highest possible price we could pay for your watch if it is in perfect salable condition, needing no repairs or services as outlined below. Such restoration services are necessary to place the watch in a “like new” salable condition. All estimates are for watches that have their original box and papers and all bracelet links. Please note that we only use genuine factory parts, which can be more costly. These costs are deducted from the original estimate to arrive at a firm purchase offer. Due to our volume, we can offer reduced repair prices that may not be available at retail. If you do not accept this final firm purchase offer, you are under no obligation to sell it. We are happy to return the watch to you. Your ultimate satisfaction is our goal. Please note that most watches we receive may need some restoration work, especially those over 5 years old. Also, it is not uncommon for us to receive inaccurate descriptions or conditions of the watch, missing or wrong model numbers, or wrong serial numbers, etc. These errors or misrepresentations can greatly affect the final purchase offer. All watches not purchased will be returned to customers by FedEx 2nd day or USPS delivery method.
Potential deductions from the initial purchase estimate include but are not limited to:
- Service and overhaul of movement
- Buff & Polish
- New Crystal
- Missing original box and papers
- Missing links in bracelet
- New leather strap needed, or buckle
- New bezel, new bezel insert, new dial (face), new end links, etc
- New crown or tube
- New movement parts
- Rust issues or water damaged items
- Replacement of any parts that are not original factory parts
Please note that prices and values for watches can change abruptly, and the Company will not be obligated to repurchase your watch for any specific value based on the price paid or any other agreed-upon price.
